WIBTA for rejecting my (F24) friend's (F24) idea?
We're celebrating my birthday party tonight with our friend group.
My initial idea was to meet up at a pub (19:30/7:30 PM) and then walk to the venue where a party we purchased tickets for takes place (starting 23:00/11PM).
The friend I mentioned then suggested visiting the annual funfair as well, which later evolved into her suggesting that we go there first, before entering the pub together. She said she's already looking forward to visiting the funfair and can't wait.
Now I'm in a pickle.
We're meeting for cake around 13:30/1:30PM and I simply told her that we'll determine the plan together as a group.
Honestly, I feel like the funfair is going to be very disorganized and chaotic, as today is it's opening day. I also don't really feel like going there as I'm usually the type who takes a quick stroll, buys food and leaves.
However I don't want to discard her wish like that, especially when she's already so excited to go.
The rest of the group hasn't responded to the idea in our WhatsApp group yet, so I suppose they'll voice their opinions in person soon.
It is my birthday party but I also want to be a good host and want everyone to have fun, so WIBTA if I said I didn't like the funfair idea?
