1982 Honda CB 750C Loud knocking at idle
Knocks loud at idle 1000-1500 disappears at higher RPM. I'm not new to old bikes but this bike is new to me. I'm assuming it's one of these? Hopefully the experts here can tell immediately from the video.
- Clutch Rattle / Primary Chain
- Loose Clutch Basket
- Cam Chain Tensioner
- Rod Knock
- Starter Clutch Bolts
UPDATE: Cylinders 1 & 2 are firing intermittently. After warm up 3 and 4 were 280-290 Celsius and 1 and 2 were 60-70. I guess I will pull the carbs and inspect/clean them. It had been sitting for awhile and not run hard for over a year. Not sure if syncing them at this point will solve anything. Evidence kind of points towards fuel. Spark is ok in all cylinders, not blue and loud but more yellow but consistent. Plugs in 1 and 2 were wet. I swapped the plugs from the cool side to the hot side but ran out of time. Will fire it up tomorrow and see if there is a change and its a couple of bad plugs. Pretty sure I'll be pulling the carbs 😞
