
I really don’t get how management can create cardinals. Article 17 central supplement section (I) got fired for leaving after completing my work and leaving with other people who had finished their work. Supe said I didn’t make him aware that I was leaving even though I’ve established a pattern months prior and my former PT supervisor even said I could go whenever my work was done coz I’d go find her every day to let her know(prior to the start of the shift and after). Personally, it’s school reasons but I don’t understand how this section(I) is job abandonment. Sort was over about an hour ish before I left not first but with others with no Supe in sight for the end of the shift. I can understand the one hick-up leading to a convo etc but if my job is done, how egregious is this? And what harm was I doing. There was not a work issue but a notice issue which I have been doing for months. Job abandonment under this clause. Local hearing was a deadlock. Any tips for Panel?( I had a termination thread a couple days ago) Just punishment boutta be a month of being fired. (Feels like abuse of the contract)
