Help. Trimmed plant and now it looks like this

It looks like it’s dead but it has been growing. It was blocking the path so had to trim it but didn’t realize it’s all dead looking inside - is this normal? Is there anything I can do to make it green again?

Was making congee today and opened up some new preserved eggs. The first one was black, as expected but then the second one was mostly yellow and had snowflake patterns so I had to turn to the internet to see if it was still safe to eat and was pleasantly surprised to learn that yellow and snowflakes means the egg is good quality and more important, safe to eat.

It’s so pretty, had to share 🥰
