FTUSA is calculating an additional tax assessment due based on a “Medicare Wages” amount, which is more than 10x the actual W2 Box 5 figure. In my employment situation, W2 Box 1 equals W2 Box 5 wages; there are no employer health care or 401k type contributions.

I believe the W2 information was input correctly, at least it matches everywhere else on the 1040.

Not sure what actually produced the figures entered by FTUSA in the Form 8959 or how to change them?

Any suggestions where I may have made a mistake or how to achieve this correction?
