Are blister beetles a big problem here?

I just planted some Japanese anemone and I was talking to my mother-in-law who lives in a different state and she told me that she had to pull out all of hers because of blister beetles. I looked it up and it seems like Japanese anemone are really attractive and they just sound terrible, like eat as much as a Japanese beetle, but also release some sort of horrible blistering excretion

I went to Kyoto in March of this year, it was pretty sleepy at that time. I want to bring my mom back for Leaf change in late November early December. What things should I book early?

My first trip was a really unexpected layover due to flight disruptions from Iran war. I was very lucky for two things - got into the Saihōji Temple with last-minute reservations and saw Jonangu shrine at peak plum and camellia blossom.

My mom is elderly and I would like to take her to Kyoto to see it again because it was just so beautiful, but sooner is better than later as she’s not in the best of health. I am planning to stay at a hotel by Gion first and then ryokan in Arashiyama

I would like to make sure she sees everything but wondering we are particular in the fall, especially since I know it’ll be a peak season and stuff should be booked early. For Saihoji, will the moss still be green like that in late fall?

Last week we had both a heavy snow storm and an intense afternoon wind/dust storm. Hidden behind most of these blooms today are snapped stems with bud/grafting tape and propped up with orchid supports

I had already cut plenty of blooms and brought them in advance of the weather and the consecutive wind and snow felled so many stems with mature buds that I didn’t feel like cutting more off. I had some extra bud/grafting tape, the waxy breathable and biodegradable type and orchid stem supports from my house plants. I taped and supported, and they continued to bloom!

This is my new lily, I planted 30 a month and a half ago and only 1 came up. I proudly showed my husband and he said, “oh shit, that’s not a weed?” He’s been weeding them and feeling proud that he was able to “get the big root bulb out too”

A lot of the recipes in this book catch my eye and it’s rare for me to experience that. I like a bit of exotic and elevated and strong flavors but nothing outright obscure. I don’t like to buy books from like TV celebrity chefs though, because my experience has been that their recipes photograph better than they taste. I am wondering if anyone has tried this book and whether these recipes turned out

I'm just curious, mine has never rebloomed regardless of fertilization, deadheading, etc. it is growing in full sun and otherwise happy and always puts on a display in spring, but if I had known it would be once bloomer for my garden I would have picked a different one like Dream Cloud.
