Running a tiny record label out of my cellar, been designing some DIY merch from scrap denim and cardboard!
Hi all,
Just thought I'd share the first few items of merch I have made for my record label Char Records. I've got a very DIY mindset for the label, all the music is made direct to cassette tapes on a Tascam 07 Portastudio and I wanted my merch to represent that!
The first item I made was a tape for "Two Drones From The Cellar" by Archoill, an ambient project. I hand dub the cassettes in The Cellar (my recording studio!) and use recycled toilet paper tubes for the packaging as they fit perfectly. I love the look of these and have had such lovely reception from people who have purchased them.
The second item is a very simple patch made from recycled jeans which I wrote "The Cellar" on (can you guess why?!). I love these, I have one on my denim jacket and they just fit perfectly. Very very proud of them.
Just thought I'd share them cause you guys seem to love the left-of-the-middle style of music and merchandise. If anyone wants to check it out my bandcamp is here.
