I have a Switch 2 and have never played a single Final Fantasy game. Generally I enjoy old games (I've been loving PokeMon Leaf Green and other pixel indie games like Stardew). I've been curious about the series and have been hearing a lot of good reviews about the new games from youtubers. To get more into the story I was curious about Pixel Remaster because I'd like to then play the new ones so I know wtf is going on. However the chronology of the series is really hard to follow, my dyscalculia doesn't help as I have a very hard time reading roman numerals. Currently the bundle is discounted 35% ($48.74) and VII: Remake Integrade is 40% off ($23.99) and Final Fantasy Tactics - The INvalice Chronicles is 30% off ($34.99) Is this sale something special or does it happen all the time? I'm new to gaming and just downloaded like 30 games off the e-shop the past few weeks because there was a sale and I thought it was a big deal, and then my friend was like play your CURRENT games and then just get it later! But I'm a sucker for sale. If I can get it for cheaper i feel like that's smarter no? Thoughts?

I want to preface this to say that I have only ever had a mac laptop ever in my life. I not only am an Apple shareholder, but I worked in the retail store for many years back when iCloud was known as Mobile Me. I have updated countless computers countless of times.
Because I have seen first hand what not having a backup does to people's lives, I have subscribed to iCloud / MobileMe for at this point nearly 16 years.
Yes, I have been getting prompts that told me I needed to update my Numbers app. These looked like the typical announcement that comes out when a new OS debuts and things get out of sync. - Weird that I kept getting these prompts cause I usually have my computer and my apps set to auto update. Work has been insane lately so I've not had the chance to update. I finally updated this weekend, and It seems the spreadsheet I had been building for several months stopped syncing with iCloud at the end of February. Nearly 3 months of work completely gone.
As someone who has relied on Apple apps, iCloud, and am very familiar with the Mac ecosystem I am completely shocked that updating to the new version of Numbers would do this. I've updated operating systems several times across several devices and never have I ever lost months of data, because even though there was a new version it still would sync and keep old versions.
How is this possible? How did this happen!? I've run terminal to search out the file on my harddrive and the only version that exists is the one updated in late February. Nothing else. The file exists but none of my substantial edits. I'm shocked and appalled and dismayed. I do not understand why they would do this to someone PAYING a monthly subscription to avoid data loss!
This disaster on top of the fact that I had to spend a few hours troubleshooting my external monitor which suddenly Tahoe no longer was acting compatible with causing it to black out. (I've since remedied the issue by lowering the refresh rate).
What the actual F, Apple!?
