I just learned that the guy my best friend is on a date with is a player, what do I do?
A lot of context: my friend (im gonna call her Jane) just went on a date with this guy (im gonna call him mark) and she had a really good time. She said she was in “dangerous territory” but didn’t want to get too excited. She is currently on another date with him when I asked my friend if she knows him. This friend knows mark through her coworker who is marks best friend and he also works out at the gym they work at. She has frequently heard stories about his dating life and she and her coworker (his best friend) often joke that he’s a great friend but would never let a daughter/sister go near him. The problem is, I want to tell Jane because I think I would want to know something like that and I don’t want to lie to her. Butttt, she is not the kind of person to ghost him even though it’s early, she would probably want to talk to him. I also don’t want to make her change the way she interacts with him and make her second guess things in case he is acting different and is really interested. She seems really into him and from what I can tell he also seems quite interested but maybe that’s just his thing.
I have no idea what to do because I don’t want her to get hurt and then get upset that I didn’t say anything or I regret not telling her. I also do not want to keep this secret forever. BUT WHAT IF I RUIN IT FOR HER
