Should I push back?

Just got my sleep apnea diagnosis from the sleep clinic my doctor referred me to. They didn’t give me a choice of cpap machines, and gave me a yuwell breath care 3. The cost was $2300 cad. This is way more than the price online…which is more like $1000. I don’t love using a brand I’ve never heard of with limited track record. I’m also uncomfortable with my data being automatically sent off somewhere, which is one of the features of this machine. But its not like I was given a choice. I have benefits but the money only becomes available every 5 years. I need this thing to last.

Is this normal? Do clinics add a huge markup to cover their costs of the free assessment? Shouldn’t I get to choose the machine that suits my needs best? Or based on my prescription, could it be that this is the only one that will work?

Something just feels off to me.
