Not the stats. Not the pace chart. Just the run.

I wanted to share a hard effort with people who'd get it — not send a Strava link and ask them to figure out if 9:42/mi with a stroller is impressive. Just: I worked hard today. Did you?

So I built a score. One number that captures the effort — distance, pace, elevation, consistency — rolled into something anyone can read at a glance. Your friend in another city sees 87 and they know. They see 43 and they know that too.

That's the core of Challenge Run. You and your friends, family, or training partners all run your own routes on your own schedules — but you're still competing. The leaderboard doesn't care that they ran at 6am in Denver and you ran at lunch in Charlotte. It just ranks the effort. That's what gets you out the door when you don't want to go.

Weekly leaderboards, daily structured challenges, a buddy system for accountability. Available on iOS (US App Store) and Android.

We launched on Product Hunt today: https://www.producthunt.com/products/challenge-run-2

Early access — no VC, solo founder. If you try it and have thoughts on what's missing or broken, I want to hear it. Happy to answer anything about how the scoring works or how the leaderboards are structured.
