Being a ruler is fun and all, but I just really like roleplaying as a count (or cultural-equivalent) and trying to help/hinder my liege as per character traits. Plus ending up as the most developed county and the richest count under my liege is fun 😅

My husband and I were talking about this while they watched me play a bit.

I know it would've been a trickier casting decision, but it would've been extra immersive just because Japanese would be Yasuke's third(?) language in universe. It's obviously impressive he picked it up so well without Valignagno or Frois noticing, but it still would've been cool.

It also means they could've had the occasional grammatical mistake to pop up while still being understandable to a native Japanese speaker as part of it (assuming Japanese allows for that), further adding to the immersion.
