’m considering buying the Hoka Speedgoat 6 mainly for light camping and forest hiking use. I won’t be doing extreme mountaineering, but I will face:
forest trails
mud and wet ground
rain exposure
mixed terrain (soil, rocks, roots)
warm summer conditions as well
My main question is about real durability, not performance reviews.
How does the Speedgoat 6 hold up over time in real use?
Specifically:
How durable is the upper mesh under rough use?
Does the outsole wear down quickly on mixed terrain (forest + occasional road walking)?
Any issues with stitching or structure after months of use?
Would you consider it a “long-lasting” trail shoe or more of a performance-focused, shorter lifespan model?
I’m trying to decide between this and more traditional hiking shoes, so real long-term user experience would be really helpful.
