** Please see update below **
I have a use case where I listen exclusively with bluetooth headphones in my home gym. I've been using a Firestick 4K Max (2nd Gen) and bluetooth performance has been pretty good although occasionally if it loses connection or during seeking it can get out of sync and require a cycle of pause/play/seek. The 4k Plus seems to have terrible bluetooth performance - pretty regular, short drop outs. The 4k Pro 2 seems rock solid.
I keep on trying to find explanations, but I've run them head to head on the same network (5ghz), same location, etc... forgotten the device, restarted, stopped the bluetooth scanning. Both are on Android TV OS 14-5.15 (although the plus is 5.15.170 vs the Pro 5.15.196).
Seemingly no matter what I do or how optimal the conditions the 4K plus's performance never quits with the frequent drop outs (probably once every 5 min or so) and the Pro has zero issues.
Any other thoughts on what could be causing this?
** UPDATE **
I assumed on first boot when the ONN's claim to do software updates that it would be up-to-date as much as the device allows ... but it wasn't (as some kind people in this thread pointed out) ... I was able to manually update; both my Pro V2 and Plus are on the same `5.15.196` build and the Plus seems to be behaving much better now (and the Pro V2 was always good). I did also toggle the setting to disable surround sound - I sort of doubt that was related, but I was also something I changed.
So that's embarrassing - it's usually like Step #2 of troubleshooting after "Did you try restarting."
If issues persist, I'll update again.
