What made you fall for this game?

We all have played for different lengths of time, off and on through the years, starting at different phases of the game's life, but after all the years, here we still are.

So my question is what was the moment that made you commit yourself to this magical game.

For me, I had gone to visit a friend for a weekend at some point in early 2017 and he mentioned he had just started playing it and asked if I wanted to try it out. He set up a table with 3 tie fighters on his side and gave me an xwing and the millennium falcon to fly. I had no idea what I was doing and got crushed, but the depth of the game was immediately apparent to me and I went home and started researching what I needed to get into it on my own.

Thweek question

Does the "Must use the 1 bank template instead of the 1 straight template" for barrel rolls override the "Perform a barrel roll using the 1 straight maneuver template" rule of the tractor effect?

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere, so please point me there if necessary.

What is your favorite voice line, either player-activated, in-game/event activated or an exchange between two heroes?

Mine is the Mei "Sorry" voice line.

Years ago, we had a guy who played Mei that spammed it every time he killed someone and we would lose it, laughing endlessly. He often received messages from opponents after, some laughing about and some furious.

What's your favorite line and why?

What do you mean when you tell someone you "Main" a certain hero?

I see this term get used a lot and it seems to have varying meanings across the board, with some people listing 12-15 heroes as their "Main" heroes.

So, my question to you, the community, is what does it mean to you when you use it?

For me, when you tell me you Main a certain hero, my initial assumption would be that you are competent and know what you are doing with that hero. Years of playing the game have taught me the error of that line of thinking as most people are often actually not good at their Main hero.

I personally don't use the phrase, but if I did, my definition would be what my initial thought was, that I'm competent with this hero at my level and you can count on me to fulfill my role at least at an adequate level for this round.

Let's hear everyone else's thoughts.

TLDR:

Tell me what you mean when you tell someone a certain hero is your Main
