I fell for the bait..

So I’ve been at Walgreens for about four months now and at first I thought Walgreens was one of those easy laid back jobs but boy was I wrong. The SM originally greeted me with such a refreshing and respectful attitude during the interviewing process. She was so happy and jolly and had me thinking it was going to be the best job ever. After I got hired, SM wasn’t so friendly and refreshing as the weeks went by. She cuts me off whenever I try to ask questions, she has such a condescending attitude and it’s so crazy because she’s so jolly with the others. I guess since I’m such a shy and reserved person, she uses that as an advantage to talk over and be aggressive with me.

We have so many things to do at once. Work the truck, watch the register, front the store items, print photos, do resets, dispose items, build canvases, take passport photos, ETC. We’re so overworked yet so underpaid, and no matter how hard we work, she always has this irritated look on her face. One day I was suppose to get off and leave at 6 and ended up leaving out at 6:20. Before leaving as I went to clock out after working hard all day, she looked so irritated. I don’t think she likes when people clock out right at the time they’re suppose to leave and would definitely encourage/recommend them to stay longer and finish more things after doing a 1000+ other things!

Sometimes when coming in to work, she barely has the energy to greet her workers back but has so much energy to give every task in the book to her workers. I’m definitely not the only one that peeps all of this because the others talk about it as well. Plus, when working with other SFL’s, I really don’t have anything to complain about. I honestly love my SFL’s. But tbh after everything I’ve gone through being unemployed for over a year and then finally landing this job, I feel forced to deal with it until further notice. There’s not many job opportunities in my area and I don’t have a car so this job is convenient for me because for the most part I caught on fast and it’s close to my house. I really just don’t know what to do or how to feel..
