I don’t entirely know what tag I should put this under because these are comic panels not my own art so I put it under speculation because devil dinosaur isn’t a character officially announced but is highly suspected to be a character. *also if they do we should be allowed to mix and match moon girl and devil dinosaur skins because they don’t always match in the comics.
I believe Venom is deserving of a buff because at his current state he still is susceptible to getting obliterated by CC and cannot support his team (which a tank should do) while diving. Unlike other dive tanks like cap, rouge, and hulk who can quickly return, Venom’s swing is a commitment.
Let me begin by saying that venom is by no means the first tank in line for a buff. That honor is for hulk and hulk alone. But many tanks including venom do need a buff or at least something to set them apart especially with power creep.
I am a Venom main, but am by no means the absolute expert so please tell me if any of my values would need adjusting.
My concept for a Venom buff would be an applied damage reduction by 7.5% to all opponents hit by his tendrils, melee, and primary fire. This would last for 2 seconds on the melee and primary — and/or end immediately if the tendril breaks.
This gives venom 3 main bonuses:
First, it greatly helps him deal with poke (because they would deal less damage) — which due to his low damage output he struggles with.
Second, it would allow him to support his team as a tank while in the enemy lines because he is reducing damage by 7.5% (this in tern helps nerf heros like wolverine’s and star lord’s ult charge).
Lastly it honors venom’s core design philosophy as the unkillable tank by giving him more effective health without actually buffing his health.
Lastly if he were to get a buff like this I would recommend his health gets reduced or that the Jeff-Venom team up gets removed because he would get more effective health anyways.
