I did something really silly. I decided to end things with this guy and I really wanted to say a couple of things before ending it as we had been in a toxic cycle for almost a year. I didn’t want to say it through text because we always misunderstood each other so I decided to spam call him … a lot. Even after he said for me to stop contacting him. I called him about 10 ish times within 25 minutes.
He then told me he was going to the police station to get an AVO against me. Usually that wouldn’t freak me out but he insisted that he was serious. The thing is, I’m in law school and about to be admitted so that freaked me out even more because if he did take that step, I would have repercussions.
I have stopped messaging and calling him. The last thing I sent him was a message basically telling him that I was sorry for calling and just didn’t want to fall into a toxic cycle. He hasn’t responded.
I will not contact him again.
Do we think he (if he did go to the police station) would have grounds for an AVO? If he did, could I contest it? It was a dumb thing to do and it was for one night. I pose no threat to him whatsoever.
Please help! Any advice is appreciated!
