
Started this journey in November 2025 and it’s been about 6 months since then. I’m down 62lbs. I was 280lbs and I’m now 218lbs and 28% bf. My goal is to get to 12% bf.
I was eating 1700 calories 200g of protein a day, and lifting 5x a week and losing weight at about 2lbs a week up until last month. My diet is the same, but I only lost 1 lb of fat the last two weeks. My calories are already at 1700, and I’m maintaining muscle mass (no gain, no loss) so I’m scared to drop calories any more. Should I do more cardio? Or just prioritize building muscle and raise calories? I really wanna get to 12% bf before August, but I know that’s kind of an impossible thing to do without losing a significant amount of muscle. Correct me if I’m wrong though👍🏽 any advice would be appreciated.
