Hey everyone. After much procrastination, I’m finally getting around to building an itinerary for Croatia. I’m flying from London to Pula on Wednesday, June 3rd and staying in Pula until Sunday, June 7th. I’ll be attending a festival in Cave Romane so while 5 days in one city is kinda long, it was nearly impossible to arrive any other day without having to travel like 26+ hours. Anyway,

I’ve heard about Rovinj,Motovun and truffle hunting in Instria. Since I have Thursday completely free, are these day trips I can take? Are there any other sites near Pula I should see? I don’t want to waste my days completely recovering from the festival so also plan to explore on the weekend too.

After the festival ends on Sunday, I’ll have another full week in Croatia that I want to split between 2 or 3 locations and I’m stuck on an itinerary. I’m looking for walkable towns, good food, local culture, and some nightlife if I feel like going out but for once I don’t want slowness (not something I used to in NYC)

I won’t be renting a car and plan to do a lot of walking everywhere. Obviously open to ferries, busses, trains etc to get from different cities. But am looking to enjoy cool neighborhoods and get lost off the beaten path.

How would you recommend splitting my time after Pula?

Is it worth heading to Split/Hvar?

Anything I absolutely shouldn’t miss?

Thank you in advance!!
