After my mothers passing i met her solicitor to get her will, he gave me an explanation of the probate process, he is now trying to charge this, is it right

"Please note, x had attended with me for a consultation back in January 2026 in relation to this matter.

 

I confirm my fees are as follows; -

 

Consultation fee                   € 300.00

Scrivenery fee                      € 175.00

€ 475.00

Plus VAT at 23%                  € 109.25

Total                                    € 584.25"
