Handmade dog crate cover. All hand stitched

Not a huge project in terms of actual sewing, but I’m happy with how this turned out. Fabric is fleece I bought on sale at Hobby Lobby in a fun dog pattern. I ended up using some green upholstery thread I had on hand and did one long blanket stitch by hand on the seam along the back edges. Just 2 panels to join on 3 seams and it was done, then I put in place and cut the excess off at the front for an exact fit. Now our new pupper has a one-of-a-kind cover for his crate that he can grow with.

Anyone else here prefer letting the wildflowers grow in their yard instead of going monoculture?

My HOA would probably disagree with me, but I think letting the pretty “weeds” grow around the grass is kinda wonderful. My backyard is full of slender yellow wood sorrel and white clover, and it makes my little druid heart happy. Of course, I don’t want brambles or nettles, so the kids don’t go running through and get poked, but they sure love picking flowers for their mom and we all love seeing the dainty flowers among a sea of green.
