This graph is crazy! 5 months of grinding and putting every extra dollar towards debt has led to this. Only $2300 more to go and finally approved for 2 cap one cards. I’ve also been sending out goodwill letters via mail to all of my creditors with late payments prior to 2023 (filed chapter 7) and they are slowly coming off. A lot of them said no but you have to keep trying!!

Hey everyone, currently rebuilding after chapter 7 BK 2 years ago and SEVERAL years of bad financial decisions. I closed almost all of my subprime cards and am officially moving on.

Currently have
Savor (AU with my wife)- $300 limit
Quicksilver- secured with $200 limit
Credit one x5 card- $2000 limit (0 balance)

Currently am a member with PenFed

My goal is to graduate my quicksilver card in 5 months
Hopefully get approved for PenFed card in next 2-3 months
Keep savor with my wife and get a CLI in 3-6 months
Close credit one card in 6-10 months.

Scores were in 400-500 range 3 months ago but have attacked my subprime cards very aggressively and have paid off most of them. A couple are closed with a balance but the total across all CLOSED cards is around $2300.

Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated. Happy to answer any questions for go into more detail as necessary. Thank you!!

I know everyone on here advises against credit one but I’m rebuilding, currently only have a capital one quicksilver secured card in my name. I saw that I was pre approved for this card so decided to go through with it. I’m stoked about the limit, was not expecting $2000. I plan to keep this card at less than 10% utilization and close after 6-12 months once I can get approved for a higher tier card. Sitting at a 652 FICO currently. Rebuilding after chapter 7 bankruptcy 2 years ago. Thanks all.
