My mom said my sister was her favorite in front of other family members
Throwaway account although I doubt any of my family members use this app lol. I have 3 siblings, 1 older sister and a younger sister & brother.
I was home for Mothers Day and my parents, me, my younger sister & her husband, my dads parents and my moms mom (she might have stepped away I can’t remember) were around the dining table and my mom goes, while addressing my younger sister, “no offense my name, but my favorite daughter and son in law…” and whatever else she said. I don’t remember and I stopped listening. Everyone at the table laughed. It was sad for me and I had to fight back tears. Then I was quiet and my mom asked what was wrong and I just said I was tired because I didn’t want to ruin Mother’s Day. My younger sister is the implied/unspoken favorite daughter so it makes it sting even more.
I have therapy in a couple days and will definitely be bringing that up lol but I just had to rant and maybe I’m seeking attention or validation idk. Maybe I’m just sensitive idk
