2004 Land Cruiser, 174k miles. Recently got P2714 Pressure Control Solenoid D Performance/Stuck Off, plus C1201 Engine Control System. Truck drives and shifts normally most of the time.
Issue happened twice within about 30 minutes, both after hard stops. First was after a longer warm drive/highway run from Thousand Oaks to Ventura with traffic. Vehicle had been sitting 2–3 weeks before that and was on for a few hours on a warm day. Both times it briefly went into limp mode, then drove normally afterward.
ATF was serviced about 6 months ago by a Toyota master tech. I don’t drive the truck often now. No slipping, no harsh shifts, no delayed reverse, no constant CEL.
Scan showed P2714 as pending under Engine/ECT and C1201 under ABS/VSC. I assume C1201 is secondary.
Question: For those familiar with A750F transmissions, would you first suspect sticky pressure solenoid, valve body wear, fluid level/aeration issue, wiring/connector, or something more serious? Trying to decide whether to monitor, check fluid level first, replace solenoid/valve body, or prepare for bigger transmission work.
