Adding laptop zipper on a classic Kånken

hi all! prefacing this post by saying I have had my Kånken for around 10 years, it is super dear to me and I am not looking to replace it or buy another one anytime soon!

however, the lack of a quick-access laptop pocket is really starting to bug me: I use it for travel a lot and having to undo all my packing just to retrieve my computer and put it back 2 mins later after security is a bit of a hassle.

i’m proficient with a sewing machine, so I was thinking of adding a long zipper at the top- like in the “laptop” Kånkens. I would go for a sort of reverse appliqué method by sewing the zipper on the wrong size and then cutting the fabric up top.

i have thought about doing this for a while but am terrified to mess up the structural integrity of the bag. has anyone done this before, or have any advice on how to make sure the modification is safe and sturdy? i was thinking of using a ykk zipper for longevity but any thread & stitch recommendations are super welcome!! :)

hi all! first time posting on here because I haven’t seen anyone talk about this (new?) shade from the Erborian CC line.

i am a long time fan and user of their CC Red Correct but it tends to pull very warm once rubbed in- i think the colour was similar to that of their normal CC in shade Clair which i believed to be their lightest shade until recently!

i don’t know if the shade Porcelain has always existed in Asia and they’ve only now begun to stock it in Europe, but I was so pleased to finally find a good match for my skin tone from Erborian.

i’ve added pictures comparing the two- rc stands for red correct and p for porcelain :) last pic shows my undertones for reference, and the pictures show the swatches in direct and indirect sunlight/shade.

i hope this helps, if anyone has any questions let me know!!
