I got my nostril pierced originally in august of 2024, had it for about a year and a half, then had to get it repierced in October of 2025 because of the hole closing in a quick amount of time. It was re-piercedwith a flat back, titanium stud and was done well and professionally, and then I got it switched to a titanium, 24k gold plated hoop in the beginning of January of 2026. I have had a bump since, and it comes in waves. It will get big and red, go away, I feel relieved, then it return right after. I’m as gentle as possible and spray with saline once a day. I’ve never experienced pain from it. I’m aware that switching to the stud again is the best option, but the truth is i lost it. Is there any way to help this without switching? Any advice?
