Has anyone had experience paying off a bring it back device and then switching to a BYOD plan? I tried to do it in store as everything I found online said you can once you pay of the BIB balance and was told that I'm not allowed and despite my contract ending and phone being paid off I have to continue paying $100 for a plan that costs $60 when you BYOD unless I switch to Koodo for some reason.

I'm wondering if it's worth it to try calling and arguing it or if I should just start shopping other providers because I'm not paying almost double for a plan just because I had a contract that's ended and been paid lol.
