Hello,
I tried searching for this question and didn’t find it so apologies if this is common.
Situation:
Just bought a Dell S3225qc it is going to be connected via HDMI to my personal pc, and planned to connect it via USB c display alt mode —> HDMI in a docking station that is connected via USB C to my surface laptop (for work)
Bought this and realized it is unidirectional and won’t work
https://a.co/d/063bYDLL (not an affiliate link, just a link to showcase the cord I bought that was wrong).
I’ve been trying to figure out what cable to use/best way to go about this.
Docking station I’m using is https://us.targus.com/products/usb-c-universal-dv4k-docking-station-with-100w-power-delivery-dock182usz?srsltid=AfmBOoo0QoSP3if9t0TsavAzCvDanMVmleu4UulaGTluIV8sUEcKzKft
Is there any cable that will do this? I’ve tried looking for bidirectional and not finding anything, but I’m very likely over looking something.
I’m not married to the dongle so also open to one that could receive usb c video signal AND an hdmi signal from the other monitor.
Trying to put as much info as possible, happy to answer clarifying questions. Appreciate any help in advance.
