Can I apply for VPD with only consolidated transcripts, or are individual semester marksheets required?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask whether consolidated transcripts are sufficient for applying to VPD, or if individual semester marksheets are also mandatory.

In my case, the university issued me corrected consolidated transcripts reflecting my B.Tech (Honours) degree, but the individual semester transcripts still contain discrepancies regarding the Honours courses and CGPA.

Has anyone here applied successfully using only consolidated transcripts? Did they specifically ask for individual semester marksheets later during verification?

Would really appreciate any guidance from those who have gone through this process.

Thanks in advance !

PS: I received my APS Certificate without individual marksheets

Hello everyone!

I’ve gone through a few posts here, but I’m still unsure about the most effective vocab strategy for the GRE.

My current plan:

  • Finish the Barron’s 800 using flashcards
  • Then move to GRE Prep Club high-frequency lists
  • Revise using Gregmat method of Vocab mountain and practice via TC/SE questions

Where I’m stuck is deciding what to prioritize Borron's 800 or GRE Prep Club high-frequency list 500 and should i use Magoosh as it more words. There are so many lists, and I’m not sure which one gives the best coverage for actual GRE questions.

My questions:

  • Is sticking to Magoosh + one more list enough for a strong verbal score?
  • Between Barron’s 800 and GRE Prep Club, which one has better overlap with real GRE vocab?
  • Did anyone here feel one source was clearly more useful than others?

I’m aiming for a high verbal score, so I want to be efficient rather than trying to memorize everything.

Would really appreciate your insights—thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,

I had a question regarding document submission and wanted to know if anyone has faced something similar.

I only submitted my consolidated transcript instead of individual semester marksheets because there was a CGPA error earlier. After getting it corrected, the university issued me an updated consolidated transcript.

I did not courier the individual marksheets (which only show B.Tech), and instead sent the consolidated transcript that clearly mentions B.Tech Honours.

Has anyone done something similar? Will this cause any issues in verification or evaluation, or is the consolidated transcript sufficient?

Also, my DigiLocker degree had only B.Tech written and the university is unable to modify it saying the deadline has past for corrections but they will still try :(

Any insights would really help. Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I’m writing my research plan for the MEXT scholarship 2027 first screening round and had some doubts....like is there any specific format to get selected that I should strictly follow, or is it more flexible?

Also, I’ve seen youtube videos show selected applicants include timelines in their research plans. Is that actually necessary or expected, or can we skip it?
