I have a friend who just got out of dental school a few months ago and said gold is the best material. My dentist said there isn't much of a difference currently between gold and zirconia. I just want whatever will last longer and not affect the composite filling on my bottom tooth. A large area of #19 is a composite filling. Just wanted other opinions if gold and zirconia will last the same amount of time or if one is better than the other. I currently have a stainless steel crown on it that needs replaced.
