need a genuine career guidance, help?

I just completed 12th and was a jee aspirant and result is not sufficient to get into IIT or NIT.

I accept that i have wasted time and now i want to fix that by taking a drop year to prepare again for jee but my father is not agreeing with me , he directly told me not to think about the drop at all and i will send you to whichever college you are alloted , which i don't want to because all of them are timepass colleges and getting jobs there is finding needle in a haystack.

I don't know what to do now I have realised my mistake and looking forward to fix it but nobody is giving me a chance.

I also thought of choosing other career options but I don't know anything about the other options and thinking its too late now

mar jau kya? but also scared to do that because instant death chahiye not jumping over the cliff having chances of surviving

please guide me what to do now and what are the promising fields to pursue other than engineering where its not too late , i will give my best (18M)

I had crush on a girl in my tution class. She was a good human being and I liked her behaviour and thought she is a matured girl to have in my life. We didnt talked much in the class and after that she joined other class for jee prep .

Then all of a sudden i got some confidence and i texted her and she replied very warmly and we decided to meet and play badminton like see we didnt knew each other much then too she agreed to meet and it was all good great btw . Then her best friend told me that she has a crush on me like a really serious one but she never made a move . I was so fucking elated after that but we both have talked about that we wont get into relationship before college (we were in 11th at that time).

so after that she also got to know that i liked her and all of a sudden she started behaving strange like not talking , whenever we met she would go silent so i thought to give her time and i also started distancing myself from her and after our 12th board result came i texted her should we meet she agreed but again same behaviour and I got a little angry and told her why she is doing this then she told that we dont work together that well and its always awkward between us . I was so shocked and heartbroken then i decided to let her go . Then her best friend(girl) texted me that she was hungry that's why she said that, i was so sad to know that , i spent a lot of time thinking we'll be together and she doesnt care and not taking it seriously and then i really decided to move on
