For contexts i live in LA, California. I sold a car June 3rd 2023 and ended up getting the car towed to a car yard. The sent the bill to collections and they are saying im the last one who is on the name of the car even though i did my end of transfer of liability. They call me every couple months but this recent call they said they are going to send the case to their attorney’s. The amount is $4273. The DMV says they have the liability transfer but it doesn’t show up anywhere. I requested the record thru mail. Does it seem like i have a chance of winning since i have some proof. I can show if needed.
