I'm a student at a for profit University in KY. I've met my 600% lifetime eligibility max for Pell. I can no longer receive it. However, I am eligible for state grants. My school refused to accept my state grant aid for my last two terms bc I no longer qualify for Pell. I had to take out a loan with the school to pay for my last two terms. According to KHEAA, I've been awarded the state grants and they don't understand why the school won't accept it, regardless of the Pell issue. Any advice? School does terms, instead of semesters, if that matters.

As the title says, I've met the Pell max. I can no longer get it. However I'm still entitled to state grants. My school will no longer accept state grants bc I no longer qualify for Pell. So, I had to take out a loan thru the school to finish up my last two terms. It's a for profit University in KY, they do terms instead of semesters, not sure if that matters, they will not accept KHEAA funds-CAP or other grants bc of loss of Pell. Just wondering if this is legal? Financial aid. Pell grant.
