I’m trying to see if anyone has gone through something similar with Etsy and can share their experience.
My shop got permanently suspended on April 12, 2026, literally right after I updated my bank information. There were no warnings before that.
I filed my first appeal the same day, waited the full 14 days, and then it just… disappeared from my dashboard with no response at all. No approval, no rejection, nothing.
So I submitted a second appeal 2 days ago, and right now I still haven’t received any update or email since the original suspension.
Some background (this might be relevant):
- I originally opened my shop in 2020 and sold physical products for about a year
- Then I stopped and left it inactive until August 2025
- In 2025, I wanted to start a digital product shop, so I created a 2nd account → it got suspended immediately
- I created a 3rd account → also suspended instantly
- I never used either the 2nd or 3rd account at all after creating them
- I appealed both:
- 2nd account was reinstated (they said it was an error)
- 3rd account stayed suspended (I completely abandoned it after that)
- I then decided to just use my original/main account and revamped it into a digital shop
- Everything was fine — no issues at all — until I updated my bank info, and that’s when the suspension happened
What I think might be happening:
After thinking about it, I’m wondering if:
- The bank update triggered a verification flag, OR
- My old account history (even though unused) caused some kind of internal review
My questions:
- Has anyone had their first appeal disappear after 14 days with no response, and had to submit a second (or even third) appeal?
- If yes, how long did it take for your second appeal to get reviewed?
- Did your account eventually get reinstated?
- Did you do anything specific to get an agent to actually look at your case, or did you just wait?
This whole situation is honestly stressful, especially since I’ve never actually used those extra accounts and everything was running fine until the bank update.
