This is the last switchboard I have and Im having trouble with where the wiring should go. It might be easier to wire the switch itself to the pedal board. Any help?

Hello! I'm trying to wire up an LM317 circuit to power a walkman. I was told the following:

Input voltage would go to pin 3 of the LM317

Output would come off of pin 2 of the LM317

R1 would cross pin 1 and 2 of the LM317

R2 would connect to ground R1 and pin 1 of the LM317

Is that what I have done in the picture? I inserted a lead (not pictured) into the slot in the row with pin 2 of the LM317 and when I connected it to the walkman power point, it did nothing. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks!
