Hoping someone here has cracked this combo recently because I'm running out of ideas.
Situation:
- IG linked to my FB account working fine, logged in on my phone
- Linked Facebook account is locked out — password works but hits a 2FA wall asking for an authenticator app I never set up
- No "try another way", no SMS/email fallback offered
- Currently in indonesia on an australian account, which I suspect is why Meta's risk engine stripped out the softer recovery options
- Linked FB account owns an active Meta Business Manager, so this is genuinely urgent, not just vanity
Things I've tried:
- facebook.com/login/identify → loops back to the same 2FA wall
- Accounts Center via IG → shows the Facebook account but blank screens when I tap it (both in app and at accountscenter.facebook.com)
- IG → Settings → can't find a working "Report a problem" option in my app version
- 2FA on IG itself offers WhatsApp/authenticator — so the phone number is recognised on the IG side but that doesn't seem to carry over to FB recovery
Already in progress:
- Meta Verified subscribed via IG (3-day ID review pending)
What I'm hoping someone can tell me:
Is there a current working contact form URL that isn't 404ing? The ones floating around online all seem dead
Has anyone solved the Accounts Center blank-screen-on-FB bug? Unlink/relink? Specific app version?
Any in-app IG support path I might be missing in the latest version?
Any way to get a phone number trusted on the FB side so the 2FA screen finally shows SMS as an option?
