I met at my roommate at a job and he was a really cool guy at first until I started living with him. Or five months into our lease. One month through he told me his girlfriend needed a place to stay because she got kicked out of her house and asked if she could stay here. She would get a job and Work and get an apartment soon is what he promised me but it’s four months down the road and all she does is stay at home 24 seven while he works and I have to come home to both of them in there room all the time. During this time they have had multiple yelling arguments over the months. A while ago, I had to literally beg him to get her to pay a third of the utilities because it was driving up the prices cause she was staying home all day.

One of our biggest problems was, he would smoke weed around the house and drag the smell inside every night. This went on for weeks and I eventually talk to him in person and confronted him very peacefully about it and he got very defensive and I almost got in a yelling argument. It was a very gaslit conversation being told I was being crazy and there was no smell. Eventually, he just stopped smoking, and I left it alone.

But recently he stopped doing the dishes for weeks, letting the trash overflow and texting me pet peeve things that I should do like doing my own dishes when he’s had his therefore weeks and so on.

Today he texted me super aggressively that I was stealing his laundry detergent. Over the course of four months I’ve been using it because I thought we were sharing it and had no clue I wasn’t allowed to use it. I told him I don’t wanna be talked to like that over text or at all and he snapped back. So later that day I knocked on the store and talked to him in person asking what his problem is with me and tell him I don’t wanna be talk to you like that. I even apologized about the laundry detergent and Said I had no idea, but he was furious and was making me feel crazy and bringing up a bunch of stuff so eventually, I brought up his girlfriend and he got super pissed and stormed out.

He also gets super pissed because I have a lot of friends and family that come over every month or so and at 10 he’ll be complaining about noise when most nights he’s the one up super late making noise and yelling at his girlfriend.

What should I do? I’m very tempted to get the Land Lord involved but I don’t wanna get kicked out. I feel crazy. I feel verbally abused like his girlfriend. I feel bad for his girlfriend that she has to live with him. She’s actually very sweet, but I feel unsafe in my own home. I don’t know what to do about it.
