I had my lift gate replaced a few years ago and ever since then my license plate lights have been out. I should have had them fix it at the time but didnt realize it was required to have them.

Both sockets are showing 14v on a multimeter and I have replaced the lights with new ones. Before I replaced them I put the old lights onto a power supply and got them to work outside of the vehicle.

I put new Sylvania 2825 lights into it and it hasn't fixed the issue. (O'Reilly says it is compatible and they seem identical to the old ones)

Im not really sure what the issue could be at this point. Thanks for any advice
