Fixing a small nick/peel on the leather

Hello! I just received this Whitney bag. The seller was transparent about a few small nicks on the flap so I was expecting them. Now that I have the bag I am wondering what is the best way to patch these up? They’re really very small but I don’t want to leave them unaddressed in case they get worse.

Thank you for any help!

Stamen(?) on flower shooting up?

Hello! I have a new air plant that I’m determined to do right by and keep alive. I bought it with a single flower on it last week and was thrilled to find it had grown two more over the weekend. I soaked it in water for 30 minutes yesterday because it looked a little thirsty and made sure it didn’t have any water sitting on it before I left the office. Today, the white bit on one of the flowers (right) is popping up like an eyestalk on a Panic Pete…is this normal? Does it mean anything? The other one looks fine!

This was sold to me as a curtisii but every time I see a photo of something that looks like my guy, the IDs say it’s a lacunosa! Please help me figure out what he is! I already had to fight a mealy bug infestation that I didn’t notice in the store so I am invested, but he is not really doing anything so I started to wonder if knowing what he is will help me help him along. Thank you so much!
