I have two kids. A newly two year old in 2T and a 3 month old average sized baby. I am 6’ 1” and my husband is 6’ 5”. I am the one who predominantly baby wears but my husband will randomly.
I have tried the following carriers:
Ergo Baby Embrace - I hated it. I always overheated and the x-back killed my shoulders.
Boba Bliss - I tried this a replacement to the embrace, but could never get the straps to fit comfortably so I returned.
Boba Wrap - This was gifted to me and I was too scared to try it with my first, but when I tried it with my second I loved it for the newborn stage. Only thing I found annoying was that the straps touched the ground when we were out and about despite my best efforts.
Tula Explore - I bought this when my first was 4 months and it has been my workhorse carrier. I have no complaints.
I am looking for a second workhorse carrier - so I can leave one in the house and one in the car. I am considering a Tula Free to Grow or a LennyLamb Upgrade Pro. I am tempted to try something new/different. The ergo embrace has turned me off to x-backs, but maybe I should reconsider? I would also love something that would work for my toddler in a pinch and allow me time to decide if I should also invest in a toddler/preschool carrier.
Is there a better option I am overlooking?
