A lot of people come to crochet having tried knitting first, or get asked constantly why they didn't just knit instead. Others have never touched knitting needles and have no interest in starting.

What drew you to crochet specifically? And for anyone who does both, do they scratch different itches or is it just about the project?

There's a surprising amount of variation in how people finish their pieces and it genuinely makes a difference to the end result. Cold wash, warm wash, rolled in a towel, ironed face down on a fluffy surface, everyone seems to have their own approach.

What do you do? And has anything ever gone wrong that you wish someone had warned you about?
