Hi! I'm fairly new to crochet and amigurumi, bit I love it😍

I've been working on this adorable dragon (her name is Gertrude) but I'm not sure that I started right on the neck.. is it supposed to fold inward? And any tips on how to attatch it in a way it looks as seemless as these picture in my book? Hope you can help me a bit🤗
