Okay, y'all so I am trying to create a panning pedal using this schematic from electronzap and this other schematic from cruciallab and combine them to create a panning pedal. The issue I'm running into is that I am trying to put a potentiometer into the electronzap schematic to control how fast and slow the alternating fade in and out of the leds happen, but I cant seem to get it to work. When I took out the resistors and tried to put the pot in their place, it basically acted like a dimming switch. I know my issue is something simple and dumb that I am missing, any help would be greatly appreciated.
