Heya folks!
I got an ECM Technika VI that I acquired recently and I’ve just connected it to mains (was running from tank).
It was a pain to hook up, but after a day’s work I got all the lines installed nicely… only to see it not draw water from mains. Pump kept spinning, so I turned it off after some 20s and switched back to tank to get it primed again (using the black valve on the back of the machine)
My plumbing setup is this: mains -> BWT filter -> pressure regulator that shows ~1.7 bar -> ECM using the supplied hose.
I noticed that the hose had a gray valve and a metal ring (one of these elastic ones securing stuff in place). The manual didn’t say to remove that (didn’t mention that at all) so I didn’t, but now I’m wondering if I actually should have.
My connection past the pressure regulator wasn’t tight initially so it spewed some water when I first turned mains back on - it _has_ water there. At this point it’s gotta be that valve or something in the machine.
Would welcome some thoughts.
