Total paging file size smaller than custom initial size for a drive

As titled, I am having issues with certain RAM/VRAM hungry games crashing and thus have manually added a 1.5-3x sized paging file on my D Drive--the issue is that my total paging file size is smaller than my initial size for the disk and I do not see a pagefile.sys in my D disk. I am not sure if I missed a step in there or if pagefiles can only reside on C disk. Searching this issue came up nothing either.

Edit: Solved--see https://superuser.com/questions/1532599/windows-10-is-ignoring-my-pagefile-settings-and-is-unwilling-to-create-or-use-a for a registry entry adjustment (p.s. always backup your clean-state registry before tampering with it, as always.)
