Hello, everybody on Reddit. This is actually my first post, though not technically my first time looking at Reddit. To be frank, I have no idea where this post belongs, but because my entire belief system has its roots in Gnosticism, I think this is a fine place to sort of dip a toe in until I'm appropriately redirected to the proper subreddit or even an entirely different website. Anyway, a big question I have before I even consider writing out my thoughts here is, how do you Gnostic believers and other truth-seekers feel about basically reshaping Gnosticism? My concern is that, for one thing, people should feel bold and safe to reinvent whatever they please, as long as no harm comes to others over the course of this reinvention. Secondly, my fear is that even I ended up taking this rule too far and that what I have conjured over the course of these past two years is heretical even to what has historically been deemed a heresy. (No judgement in that department, because heresy and heathenry have been a serious point of my attention ever since I was a little kid.)
TL;DR, and kind of an AITA: Am I wrong for inventing my own religion and becoming motivated in turn to save the world without coercion or guilt? Also, as a final question, what is the character limit on Reddit? Because I don't want to spend an entire day typing my brains out before it all gets rejected for being literally too long to read.
