Day 17 former Norwood 6 - 4600 grafts

I have experienced 0 scabs so far just some crusts. Also not as red as I thought it would be and the donor area is looking good. Had to go back to work so have to have a hat on, but I think it is coming along well. Already planning on the second transplant next year

Going back to physical labor outdoor job after hair transplant

I’m currently 14 days post op and going back to work tomorrow. I’m usually in the sun 10+ hours a day (no avoiding it) and sweating like a pig. Any advice and products to use to ensure a clean scalp?

I bought sweat rags and also I’ll be wearing a hat all day for protection.

Couldn‘t cover the whole scalp because I have such a big dome, but how are we looking after 5 days? Going to try some derma-stamping and topical fin to hopefully fill some of that bald spot

After a long time searching for the right surgeon (3 years) I’ve come across Dr. Laorwong from this sub. I contacted the clinic, set up dates and paid the deposit.

The clinic staff is very nice and accommodating. The worst part was the travel due to me missing my connection flight so they were nice enough to push my surgery date back one day.

PRE OP: I arrived to the clinic the day before my newly scheduled surgery and saw Dr Laorwong. as many have said on here he is a man of few words and I let him do his thing. I was initially stated for 4000 grafts but due to me being a severe Norwood 6 he said he can do 4500 grafts. my donor area was fine. He sent me off with antiseptic shampoo to use twice at night and once on surgery day.

Surgery day: I use the antiseptic wash and head over to the clinic. got my HIV test and paid the existing bill. Sat in the waiting room for about an hour before they called me back to go up to the shaving station. They had a menu of what I wanted to eat for dinner (very nice of them). While in the room you have to change clothes and put all your belongings in a storage. Dr. Laorwong walks in after about 30 minutes and very meticulously sketches my hair line and draws sections on my head. after that he began shaving. They give you medicine (sleeping pills and Valium) then Im escorted to the surgery room where I laid face flat while they administered local anesthesia. Dr Laorwong did all of the extracting as well as the insertion cuts on the crown and hairline area. he was there for the start then technicians took over, they were very social and funny. I didn’t speak Thai so I didn’t talk much. Surprisingly (contrary to what I heard) Dr Laorwong actually came back into the room and was there ~3 hours before I finished and he took over a lot of the planting of the grafts. My surgery time was 12pm to 11:30pm. You won’t sleep much during surgery because it was so bright and my lower back started to flare up a bit from sitting so long. After I was done I got up drowsy and unbalanced due to the Valium and sleep pills they give. instead of 4500 grafts, the dr informed me they took out 4600 instead. They then gave me pain pills, sleep pills, minoxidil pills, swelling pills. (this clinic has AMAZING post care). They bandage you up, put on a nice wrap and send you on your way.

Post op day 1 coming soon: Will be hyperbolic chamber, washing of the grafts, and PRP.

So far Highly recommend this clinic to anyone.
