Chapter 1 "motive" idea
Yo, I've been workshopping a Total Drama Island-based fangan -called Total Dangan Island: Summer Of Despair- and I came up with the first chapter's motive. I thought I'd post it here to get some possible feedback on it. Hoping to share more of this project in the future.
- Ch. 1 Challenge) Two Truths, No Lies
- The 22 Campers are divided into two separate groups:
-[Screaming Gophers] - Beth, Cody, Gwen, Heather, Izzy, Justin, Leshawna, Lindsay, Noah, Owen, Trent
-[Killer Bass] - Bridgette, Courtney, DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Sadie, Katie, Tyler
- Each of the Camper’s two deepest secrets and shames is written on 88 pieces of laminated paper -referred to as Shreds- and placed within an automated ballot box located at the amphitheater with an additional 88 pieces of blank Shreds with nothing written on them.
- Starting at 7:00 AM sharp, the Screaming Gophers report to the amphitheater to receive one of the Shreds and a small Prediction Card with four boxes to write something. This process begins at 8:00 AM for the Killer Bass.
- In 3-hour and 30-minute intervals, each team must return to the amphitheater to deposit their current Shred to receive another one. This process repeats for both teams a total of four times, ending at 9:00 PM for the Screaming Gophers and 10:00 PM for the Killer Bass.
- After all four rounds have been completed and the Campers have written down the names of whom they think each secret belongs to, the Prediction Card is deposited alongside the fourth Shred into the automated ballot box.
- Come morning, the process starts all over again, and if any of the Campers successfully deduced which of the four secrets each belonged to, they will be dubbed the winner of that round without the knowledge of the other Campers.
- Any Camper who wins a round will be awarded a prize; a portable, one-way teleprinter about the size of a pager. With it, a Camper can view the results of the challenge after the Prediction Cards have been deposited, choose what Shreds are given out to each Camper, and write their own messages on the 88 blank Shreds held within the automated ballot box.
- A Camper who has won a previous round can win another, though they will not be provided with another teleprinter or any new prize.
