Hey everyone!

I just returned to my game and found my sim is a ghost now. They are playable but cannot interact with anyone. I played two days ago, and they were fine. I killed one of the college roommates during my last session and they returned as a ghost, but my sim was fine.

Now it says that my sim died on another lot and will return there as a ghost. They haven't even been to another lot last time and I'm still in their student home. There's no memory of them dying either.

What happened and how can I fix it?

I'm still new to the game. Recently there was a dog on my property and dug up the ground. In Sims 1 there's a no-pet sign. I read in Sims 2 there's no sign, you have to build a fence to keep animals away. Now for the life of me I cannot figure out how to build a fence. I have no porch, if it matters. Can anyone tell me step by step where the fences are? I use the German version, so if a fellow German can direct me, it would be perfect but I will figure it out in English as well.

I bought some magazines for my sims, but after reading they are just lying around and I cannot recycle them or place them somewhere else except for the hand tool. Now there on the desk and the kids won't do their homework if it's placed on a coffee table. Is there a rack or something to hold them?
